Listening videos 1.5x – 2.0x speed might help you concentrate longer periods. Of course, the time saving is nice, too. 1.5x is usually easy to listen. 2.0x requires little practice with 1.5x and requires heavy focus, but at least for me that is actually good so I dont get distracted. 1.7x is a good middle option…

Youtube seems to support playing the video faster without changing the pitch. The same is possible with www.lynda.com and possibly others (like Pluralsight).

The key is to find a player which can play the video or audio faster without changing the pitch (many players will make the sound very high-pitched)

For playing podcast of mobile I’ve tried Maple Player. On computers VLC seems to be able to do it.
